Article I (Article 1): Time Zones

For those of you who know me well it will not surprise you that my first post is about time zones. I saw that my "Article Zero" post has a timestamp of 2:55 PM on it and I realized that I must be posting to a server set to Google (Mountain View, California) time. I suppose that is acceptable for my purposes.

Speaking of Google (Mountain View, California) time, I guess that I really should mention that I found it interesting that Google has a tremendous presence in New York, New York as well. Sometimes I wish that I had stayed in New York City when I heard that Google had opened up shop there. Alas, I am up in New England working relatively close to Boston, Massachusetts (another technology haven) at a rapidly growing technology company that is not a "well-known name" that I think suits me well.

Speaking of time zones, did you know that Indiana finally "threw in the towel" on fighting Daylight Saving Time? The state is now split between the Central Time Zone and the Eastern Time Zone. Are you worried about that classic episode of the "Eerie, Indiana" TV show where Marshall preserves his New Jersey tradition of honoring Daylight Saving Time where he finds himself in some kind of time limbo? As long as we remember that it was applicable when it was originally aired we can tell our kids as such.
